UBIAS Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is composed of eight elected IAS representatives located on the various continents. The current members were nominated for a period of three years at the Directors’ Conference, virtually held by Iméra - Institute of Advanced Studies at Aix-Marseille University in 2021.

The Steering Committee supervises the key orientations of the network based on the decisions taken at the UBIAS business meetings. It is responsible for identifying overarching themes for the UBIAS biennial conferences and preparing the event with the host Institute. It processes membership requests and applications.
The Secretariate of the Steering Committee is provided by the Lead Coordinator. Former UBIAS Lead Coordinator Guilherme Ary Plonski (IAS São Paulo, Brazil) takes part in the meetings of the Steering Committee as a special advisor.
